Chapter 146: Extra – Modern Era 13

The slender young man wore only a loosely draped robe, revealing flawless, pale skin. Thanks to a Wu Zu’s* powerful regenerative abilities, all the kiss marks had been erased, leaving behind an almost divine level of beauty, so perfect it seemed crafted by the gods themselves—without a single flaw to be found.

*[T/N: I guess he’s a Wu Zu now?]

Ah, what a delicate snow blossom blooming atop the Tianshan Mountains.

And yet…

Look at that cold expression.

Look at that noble, untouchable aura.

Look at those piercing, inviolable eyes.

It made people really want to push him down, okay?! This was practically the fighter jet of abstinent ukes! It made one want to gather a hundred men to take turns ravaging him until he became a broken doll! But obviously, this icy snow blossom had already been tamed.

Even though he seemed to have been thoroughly ravaged, he still exuded an air of “you foolish mortals.” Truly… too arrogant! And yet, he was arrogant in such a subtle and natural way…

Wei Liang’s emotions were complicated.

…Alright, that was a joke. His first reaction was sheer horror.

After all, who else could be in this room, cradled in Qi Guanrui’s arms, wearing an expression of overindulgence-induced severity, other than his childhood best friend?!

But why the hell had he changed into a completely different body without any warning?!

How overpowered was this pervert to be able to swap someone’s shell like this?!

His childhood friend had clearly been stuffed into a new body and was still alive and kicking!

This defied science, defied the laws of life itself!

Atheism rejects this reality!

And yet, for some reason, when Wei Liang locked eyes with that high-and-mighty figure, he suddenly knew—clear as day, without a shred of doubt.

This was definitely his childhood friend.

No matter how impassive that face was, it couldn’t hide the soul-deep aura of an otaku shining through those windows to the soul.

The only issue… was that this new body was too overwhelmingly powerful, suppressing the essence of the person inside.

It almost felt real.

Gu Bai, looking “fragile and weak,” leaned against Qi Guanrui’s embrace and struggled to lift a hand in greeting. “Yo.”

Wei Liang: “…”

His emotions grew even more complicated.

This was the exact kind of exhaustion that came from being fucked for days on end…

A tiny part of him felt jealous. Was this what it felt like to “marry off your daughter”?

[T/N: NO. You should NOT be jealous of someone fucking your daughter. You have to wear the dunce hat now.]

Sob sob sob, I really don’t want to let go!

Meanwhile, inside Gu Bai’s mind, a herd of ten thousand grass mud horses trampled through, paving a highway lined with shattered glassware—an endless road of broken cups and dishes that would never be repaired in this lifetime.

His left cheek had the word “miserable” written on it. His right cheek had “wretch.” His entire body exuded an aura of sorrow and despair.

But he had no one to blame. He was the one who had made a mistake. ╮(╯_╰)╭

For now, he needed to stabilize this damn pervert’s emotions.

At the very least, stop him from getting any worse…

Qi Guanrui, on the other hand, had already sensed the subtle connection lingering between Gu Bai and Wei Liang.

And he didn’t like it.

Without hesitation, he turned around and sat down on the sofa, positioning Gu Bai securely on his lap. Then, as if to assert ownership, he gently kissed Gu Bai’s forehead before turning a very warm smile toward Wei Liang.

“Mr. Wei, you suddenly called. What might be the reason? Gege is quite unwell at the moment—anything you need can be handled by me.”

Wei Liang took a deep breath.

This is a power move, isn’t it?! A show of dominance, right?! A blatant challenge, huh?!

If Xiao Bai Cai and I could be a thing, do you think his little chrysanthemum would still be yours to claim?!

I’ve had over twenty years of chances, okay?!

Seriously, so childish.

Of course, he didn’t dare say any of that out loud.

Besides… Wei Liang had actually called despite the mortal risk—not just because he was deeply concerned about his bestie, but also because he had legitimate business to discuss.

After staring at Gu Bai for three seconds in deep conflict, Wei Liang made a swift decision to speak before Qi Guanrui’s patience hit its limit.

“Ahem, well, it’s like this, Mr. Gu…” Damn it, I can’t even look at that name head-on! How is a naming-impaired Xiao Bai Cai supposed to save me from my overflowing brain holes?! “Young Master Wu called—he said the villa is ready. When do you plan to move in?”

Answering the phone felt like handling toxic waste—no wonder Wu Shaohai had become such a successful businessman. That guy really knew how to minimize his own risks! And now, all the risk was shoved onto me!

Just as Wei Liang suspected, Wu Shaohai was a sharp man and an astute businessman. Because he was both, he knew how to exchange sincere service for good reputation—and how to shift all the risks onto someone else while keeping the benefits for himself.

Unlike his brainless playboy of a younger brother, Wu Shaohai had already grasped the dynamic between Gu Bai and Qi Guanrui before he even left that day. He also understood Gu Bai’s position in relation to Qi Guanrui—and even deduced that the two had likely been separated for a long time.

And what did separation usually lead to?

Obviously, “reunion sex.”

So, while he immediately arranged to acquire the luxury villa and fill it with extravagant furniture, he also took the liberty of thoroughly investigating the people around Gu Bai.

Naturally, that led him straight to Wei Liang.

Once the villa was more or less ready, Wu Shaohai directly called Wei Liang, and with a few subtle manipulations, he had Wei Liang marching toward certain doom—completely willingly.

And the result?

Qi Guanrui listened to Wei Liang’s words, nodded, and smiled with his usual warmth. “Ah, I see. How thoughtful of you to personally bring me this news. A small token of appreciation—nothing much.”

Wei Liang—

You’re from another world, and yet you use polite phrases this naturally?! Seriously?!

With a stiff smile, he accepted a fabric pouch that felt heavy—he squeezed it a little. Yup, feels like gemstones.

“Thanks… No problem,” he replied awkwardly. After a brief pause, he forced himself to express some goodwill. “You’re Xiao Bai Cai’s boyfriend, so that makes you my…” He hesitated, then finally continued, “…best friend.”

Ugh, that was hard to say.

Qi Guanrui responded with another gentle smile.

The conversation came to a close.

After confirming that Gu Bai—despite having a new body—didn’t seem to be suffering from anything other than overindulgence, Wei Liang took one last look at Qi Guanrui’s unsettlingly intense gaze and promptly made his exit.

Later, Qi Guanrui called Wu Shaohai back, confirming that they would move into the villa soon.

Once that was settled, he turned his attention back to Gu Bai, preparing to engage in another round of intimacy.

Only to realize—Gu Bai had already fallen asleep.

Qi Guanrui chuckled softly, cradled him in his arms, and carried him into another room.

Here, there were no damp sheets, no lingering scent of passion—just a fresh, tranquil atmosphere. Perfect for sleeping.

Still holding Gu Bai against his chest, Qi Guanrui leaned back against the headboard, staring at his face with a gaze so possessive, so deep, it was almost twisted. And yet, there was none of the oppressive energy he displayed toward outsiders.

Then, he snapped his fingers.

And Gu Bai’s original otaku body reappeared before them.

Qi Guanrui gazed at him and whispered, “Gege, we will be together forever.”

Gu Bai’s expression remained blank, but he was momentarily dazed by the intensity of Qi Guanrui’s presence—and subconsciously nodded.

Immediately, Qi Guanrui’s muscles tensed…

And he transformed into a massive, room-filling python.

Then, with its gaping maw like a black hole—

It swallowed the otaku body whole.

Gu Bai: =口=!!!!!!!!!!

Qi Guanrui shifted back to his human form, licked his lips, and with a nearly terrifying sweetness in his smile, murmured, “Forever together.”

Pinky says: aha babe I just ate your corporeal counterpart, I thought it was a sour patch kid aha
